Feel the fear…

My family love theme parks, although I refuse point blank to join my teen on any rollercoaster that warns it’s unsuitable for those who suffer from motion sickness.

That’s why we’ll be heading to Disneyland Paris for a few days later this year – because when he’s finished riding Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and the Tower of Terror I can join the little ones on It’s a Small World and Peter Pan. Book through KidStart, and you get 2% back on Park Tickets and Package Holidays.

Here are some top tips from Disneyland Paris for getting the most out of your visit:

  1. Go to the parks early and head straight for the attraction you want to see.
  2. Most people head left when they enter the park and end up in Frontierland – keep to the right and go to Discoveryland instead as the rides will be less crowded then.
  3. Adults with youngsters too small to ride can take turns riding using ‘Baby Switch’ without having to queue twice.
  4. Pace yourselves. It’s impossible to do everything in a day, so take your time and if you’re staying for the fireworks, have a rest or a swim.
