The Five Senses of Christmas!

Someone once told me that the best way to make someone remember something is to appeal to every one of their senses; sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. Christmas is a great opportunity to create  magic for the ones we love creating memories that last a lifetime. Here is our sensory guide to Christmas…

Smell: How about burning frankincense on the fire, or the essential oil in a burner. Cooking with seasonal spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger will fill the nasal passages with olfactory wonder! Touch: Is there any more Christmassy a feel than cosy slippers? Apart from freezing, horizontal rain of course… Sight: Christmas is all about things that sparkle, shine, glitter and generally light up the world, so get your glimmer on and radiate all over the place! Taste: When I was a kid, my mum’s Yorkshire Puddings were THE taste of Christmas; these days it’s the lingering yum-factor of  Baileys on ice. Sound: Bells and Christmas carols – they get me every time.
