Travelodge: the UK’s Favourite Hotel

Room with truckles Travelodge was the first budget hotel brand to launch in the UK in 1985, when it opened on the A38, in Barton under Needlewood. Since those early days, the company  has undergone a radical transformation, opening more than 500 hotels, and moving from being a roadside hotel chain to become one of the UK’s largest, fastest growing and most highly recognised budget hotel brands. Today, over 17 million people sleep in Travelodge hotels every year. Travelodge has expanded from its traditional roadside locations and now has 500 hotels in key city centre and leisure locations throughout the UK.  So, if you’re thinking of taking a city break, a relaxing break in the countryside or a trip to the UK seaside – you can always find a Travelodge!

We can think of at least 3 reasons why you should book your hotel room at Travelodge:

  1)  In March 2013, Travelodge started a £57 million refurbishment programme to completely transform the look and feel of more than 30,000 of its rooms in just 18 months. The new look room has been designed in a modern contemporary style and offers customers everything they need for a comfortable stay. The biggest investment in the room is the Travelodge Dreamer bed, a luxury king size bed which has been designed exclusively for Travelodge by royal warrant holders Sleepeezee. This type of bed is predominately found across the world in four / five star hotels. Other additions to the new rooms include a stylish white contemporary en-suite bathroom with a power shower, stain and water resistant carpet in a dark shade of blue, a larger desk area, new reading lights and a phone charging socket built into the bed frame.   TRAVELODGE_BENEFITING_FROM_BRAND_INVESTMENT-2     2) Kids stay FREE. Travelodge offers great value for families, and their large family rooms have plenty of space for all the family at no extra cost. Your room will be provided with either, 2 pull out beds or a sofa bed.  In addition, for every adult having breakfast 2 children under 16 per adult can tuck in and eat as much as they like, for FREE.   photo_4[1]   3) Eat as much as you like at breakfast. Fill up from the breakfast buffet including bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs and tomato, alongside a variety of cereals, yogurts, fruit, croissants and toast. Help yourself to tea, coffee and juice too. You can either book the breakfast buffet online when you make your room booking or decide on the day. It’s only £6.65 per adult when you book online – saving £1 – and kids eat free.
