We’re off to Chicago, and it’s the first time we’ll have travelled using the ESTA. I just hope I did everything right when I was filling in the online application forms. For some reason I always break into a cold sweat when I’m entering the US – I have absolutely nothing to hide, but something about the questions ‘where are you staying/how long will you be here/what’s the purpose of your visit’ and the way they now take your fingerprints AND look into your eye with that weird gadget makes me very uncomfortable. I’d be absolutely rubbish at a lie detector test. Hopefully they’ll let us in...
