I don't mean half-term (although actually, it's probably pretty apt). But we're ridiculously excited in our family about the new Where The Wild Things Are movie, even though it doesn't come out until December. It's always been one of our favourite books - I'm sure the Man of the House won't mind me telling you that he 'improvises' with sound effects for the monsters, and one of my favourite opening lines ever has to be 'The night Max wore his wolf suit and made mischief of one kind and another'. Of course they've had to pad out the story for the movie but the monsters look delightful and totally faithful to Sendak's original drawings.
