And, as the years go on, the amount of space they’re taking up is overwhelming, so I’ve come up with some options for preserving our favourite things.

1. I love this Children’s Art Display Holder from the GLTC. It has room for 9 x A4 artworks so we rotate the pictures every now and then. Practical and a lovely way to display your child’s latest creations.

2. I also love these colourful A2 portfolio cases for storing larger pieces of work so I have invested in different colours for each family member.

3. For extra special pieces of art, we use online print sites such as Vistaprint, Moo and Goodprint to create postcards, cups, mouse mat, key rings and more from scanned artwork – they make great presents for relations too!

4. When the amount of paperwork becomes too overwhelming, we choose some images to scan and keep on a USB stick.

5.Choose at least one piece of artwork and have it properly framed and hung. Get your child to sign and date it on the back so it feels even more special.

6. Invest in some cardboard poster tubes like these for rolling up larger pieces and keeping them safe forever.

7.Send some artwork on – grandparents in particular love to receive pieces of art from their grandkids so choose a couple of pieces to mail to them. It’s a lovely thing to receive and a fab thing to give!

I hope these tips help you and your mini Picasso.
