\r\n Tummy2Mummy<\/a> blogger Marie fills us in on how her life has changed since becoming a parent, get ready to laugh, nod your head in agreement and reminisce if your little ones aren’t so little anymore.\r\n<\/h3>\r\n\r\n

\r\n Becoming a parent is life changing, overwhelming and a madness nothing can prepare you for. I naively thought Jasmine would adapt to my schedule and my plans. She had very different ideas. So I decided to make a list of the 15 things I\u2019ve learnt since becoming a parent. \r\n<\/h4>\r\n\r\n
\r\n 1. <\/span>Things in my house don\u2019t co ordinate anymore. My beautiful Scandinavian sleek themed lounge now looks like a soft play centre at closing time. In garish colours, bulky plastics sometimes with a bit of biscuit smeared in, it looks any thing but sleek these days.\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n
\r\n 2. <\/span>Some days Peppa Pig is my saviour, other days I want to put her, George and the iPad that plays Peppa Pig in the bin, and bury the bin.\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n
\r\n 3. <\/span>You don\u2019t die if you don\u2019t sleep for 7 months. It\u2019s true, I\u2019m proof. You do however start drinking coffee, stop wearing make up and fantasise about various types of beds.\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n
\r\n 4. <\/span>I\u2019ve exchanged getting designer bags for getting bags under my eyes.\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n
\r\n 5. <\/span>There\u2019s a very smug feeling about being able to use parent and child bays, I\u2019m always willing someone to challenge me! I walk away with a little swag like I\u2019ve queue jumped.\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n
\r\n 6. <\/span>Your partner and you know that the words \u2018poo-nami\u2019 means it\u2019s likely a \u2018two man job\u2019\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n
\r\n 7. <\/span>Sometimes babies cry. They aren\u2019t hungry, wet, ill, hot, cold, they just need to release a bit of energy! WHITE NOISE IS LIFE!\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n
\r\n 8. <\/span> You will spend hundreds of pounds on baby rubbish you won\u2019t use and will have a hundred baby toys which are a great mixture of fun and educational but the baby would rather play with a clothes peg.\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n
\r\n 9. <\/span>If you\u2019re ill \u2013 it doesn\u2019t matter. If you need sleep \u2013 it doesn\u2019t matter. If you want to finish your dinner while it\u2019s hot \u2013 it doesn\u2019t matter. You are no longer a priority.\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n
\r\n 10. <\/span>You will venture in to the city and pack like you\u2019re spending a fortnight in Benidorm.\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n
\r\n 11. <\/span>When a baby cries hysterically in the back car seat you would rip out your lift kidney if it would entertain her to stop the tears.\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n
\r\n 12. <\/span>Mums and Dads are not the same. Sometimes a baby just wants their mum and sometimes Dad will just be funnier, and probably look more like the zchild.\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n
\r\n 13. <\/span>I will never wee alone again\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n
\r\n 14. <\/span>I will never drink a full cup of tea again.\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n
\r\n 15. <\/span>I can become the BEST distractor with ANYTHING when baby slightly bumps her head!! I can normally save it before the face fully crumbles!!\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n
