With all the shocking acts of criminality this week a particularly terrible one sticks in my mind. It’s the one of the young teenage boy who is mugged by other boys as they pretend to help him. After rifling through his bag the so-called ‘good samaritans’ then abandon him bleeding and bewildered on the ground. <\/p>\n

It’s an example of many thing but mainly of people refusing to see the fall out of what they have done to someone. So I am all for the new hard-hitting campaign against bullying, that has been launched by the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (ISPCC).
Westlife singer Mark Feehily, who came up with the idea, says he was inspired by his own personal experiences of bullying when he was younger and has roped in a number of celebrities who all gave their services for free. <\/p>\n

www.ispcc.ie<\/font> <\/p>\n Jedward, X Factor judge Louis Walsh, MTV presenter Laura Whitmore, and actress Saoirse Ronan are seen with Feehily posing as victims of abuse, in a series of shocking images. The message is simple  – abuse, whether verbal, physical or emotional, is totally unacceptable.

It’s a lesson and campaign that needs to be bought over to the UK right now and repeated over and over again to everyone from the mindless rioters destroying cities, to the school bullies destroying other people’s lives.<\/p>\n
