A day that regularly fills me with dread, not because I am horrible but because every year I am stuck for what to buy. And I might add I am not someone who can’t buy gifts.<\/strong>\n\n\"\"<\/a>\n\n<\/strong>Weddings, friend’s birthdays, kids parties, I am rarely stuck for what to buy, but Father’s Day is a completely different kettle of fish. Having to buy for two men – my husband and my own father, after much looking I always resort to clothes. Gap Polo’s for my dad and Superdry for my husband.\n\nThis year, however, with a wardrobe teaming with t-shirts and my mother telling me ‘no more clothes for your dad’ I have been on the hunt for gifts and it’s driving me mad. So far I have ruled out chocolates (too fattening say both men), beauty gifts (a resounding ‘NO”), and books. Cinema tickets (there’s nothing good on), theatre tickets (too expensive), and meals out (no one can agree on a restaurant).\n\nThe weird thing is my husband and father aren’t fussy people but they are hard to buy for because (1) they have everything they want and (2) they don’t value gifts that are frivolous. This means it also rules out all ‘Dad’ gifts such as mugs, socks and joke presents. Plus this year money wise I am ruling out tech presents, and weekend away gifts. It looks like all they’re getting this year are homemade gifts from the kids, which always go down well but make me feel cheap when I compare them to my Mother’s Day haul.\n\nAnyhow if you’re stuck in similar sinking boat, but aren’t hampered by my checklist of what not to buy here’s my pick of what is great on the Father’s Day Gift front.\n\nBoden<\/a>\u00a0a fab selection of menswear – ideal for holidays and this horrible weather.\n\nBoots<\/a> – perfect if you are married to a male grooming fanatic who steals your face creams.\n\nApple Store<\/a> – iPhones, iPads, iPods galore.\n\nAlessi <\/a>– Designer kitchen goods for gadget lovers.\n\nAncestry<\/a> – A unique gift that allows someone to trace their ancestry with records dating back to 1837!\n\nSo what are you doing for Father’s Day.
