My find of the week has to be the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.enjoystaffordshire.com\/thrill-hopper\/\">Staffordshire Thrill Hopper family ticket<\/a>,\u00a0which for just \u00a3142.50 allows one entry per person (two adults and two kids under 12 years) to four UK theme parks: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.altontowers.com\/\">Alton Towers<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.draytonmanor.co.uk\/\">Drayton Manor<\/a> (also home of Thomas Land), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.waterworld.co.uk\/\">Waterworld<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.snowdome.co.uk\/\">SnowDome <\/a>from now until the 31st October 2012.\u00a0<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5920 size-full\" title=\"Thrill-Hopper\" src=\"http:\/\/www.livingwithkids.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Thrill-Hopper.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"195\" \/>\r\n\r\nIt&#8217;s a huge saving for families as entry for 2 adults and 2 kids to Alton Towers alone is \u00a3156.50.And to get our money&#8217;s worth we have decided to dedicate different weekends over the next three months to various attraction and started this weekend with short break at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.altontowers.com\/\">Alton Towers<\/a>\u00a0(the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.enjoystaffordshire.com\/thrill-hopper\/\">Thrill Hopper site<\/a> also allows you to book a range of accommodation in Staffordshire).\r\n\r\nI have to admit I&#8217;ve always thought Alton Towers was the domain of scary teen rides courtesy of the 13 famous rollercoasters they have, so I was happy to see that they more than cater for preschoolers and under 8&#8217;s. Plus unlike some theme parks\u00a0Alton Towers is set in the most beautiful grounds you&#8217;ve ever seen, and located deep in the countryside about 18 miles from Stoke-On-Trent.\r\n\r\nIt means that even though the car park was overflowing you never really feel hemmed in and squashed by crowds (Disneyland take note). This meant my 2 year old and 5 year old could basically run around without fear of being swallowed by a crowd. Rides that were big winners for the two year old included <a href=\"http:\/\/www.altontowers.com\/rides-and-attractions\/magic-young-fun\/more-attractions\/\">Old MacDonald&#8217;s Tractor Ride<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.altontowers.com\/rides-and-attractions\/magic-young-fun\/more-attractions\/\">Squirrel Nutty Ride<\/a>, and the Battle Galleons at Mutiny Bay. The five year old loved\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.altontowers.com\/rides-and-attractions\/attractions\/ice-age-the-4d-experience\/\">The Ice Age 4D experience<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.altontowers.com\/rides-and-attractions\/attractions\/sharkbait-reef\/\">Sharkbait Reef Aquarium<\/a>\u00a0amongst all the zillions of other rides she insisted on going on all day long without once complaining she was tired or hungry (very unusual for her).\r\n\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.livingwithkids.co.uk\/family-friendly-trips-staffordshire-thrill-hopper\/ice-age-4d\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5919\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5919\" title=\"ICE-Age-4D\" src=\"http:\/\/www.livingwithkids.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/ICE-Age-4D.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\nHaving also chosen to stay at the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.altontowers.com\/hotels\/\">Alton Towers Resort Hotel\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0(very kid and adult friendly) we were literally only 15 minutes walk away from the park and also next door to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.altontowers.com\/waterpark\">Alton Towers Waterpark<\/a>\u00a0which for \u00a336 extra is well worth a couple of hours either before or after Alton Towers.
