It’s the Easter holidays, which means for most parents having to spend more money on days out. However the UK is full of\u00a0fun yet affordable events\u00a0to enjoy with all the\u00a0family this Easter?<\/strong><\/h4>\r\nWe’ve hunted down four\u00a0activities to keep the kids\u00a0entertained\u00a0on a budget, do you have any more suggestions?\r\n

1. Pl<\/strong>anting and gardening<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n

Aside from tidying up the garden, planting new seeds in April is a great idea. While you can sow some directly into the soil, kids love it if you plant seedlings in small pots and then place them in a sunny spots in the kitchen. In sunshine these seedlings tend to grow rapidly (thereby keeping your kids attention for 2 weeks) and if you regularly replant can grow into great plants for the summer.<\/p>\r\n

If you don’t have green fingers, allowing the kids to go wild in the garden (in the name of tidying up what’s happened over winter), not only does you a favour but pretty much tires them out. 2. Check out your local museum<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n

Many museums around the UK are free and offer lots of free holiday activities for kids. There are great experiments for kids at the Museum of Science and Industry<\/a><\/strong> in Manchester, and a range of\u00a0fun expositions at the Museum of Childhood<\/a><\/strong> in London.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

3. Take a look at LittleBird<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n

Make a den with blankets, cushions, tables and chairs or hard boil some eggs and let your kids paint them. You can then roll them down hills and see’s whose goes the furthest without breaking!<\/p>\r\n
