Founded in 1995, Ecotricity was the world’s first green energy company. We’re still Britain’s greenest energy company, and our mission is to end the use of fossil fuels.

We’re different from other energy companies because we take the money we make from our customers’ bills and use it to build new forms of green energy like our windmills, solar parks and green gasmills. We call this ‘Bills into Mills’, and by paying their bills every month, our customers are helping us fight climate change.
