You can save for as many children as you want, and they don't even need to be your own! Some members even save for children they hope to have in the future. In addition, you can also save for a children's charity or a school. You have complete control over how much you allocate to each recipient.
If you are saving for a child, we will automatically deposit your KidStart Savings into whichever savings account that you tell us. Many savings accounts have a minimum deposit so we will typically wait until there is £10 in your Kiddybank before making a transfer.
If your child was born in the UK on or after 1 September 2002, they will have a Child Trust Fund account and KidStart can deposit money into whichever one they have.
We can also deposit money into other children's saving accounts, such as a bank or building society account, if you prefer. You just tell us where you want us to put the money through our members section.
