KidStart is a free shopping club that allows its members to collect cash savings for their children, grandchildren, friend's children, school or children's charity when shopping at a wide range of retailers, service providers and other similar companies. Our aim is to help parents and grandparents do that little bit extra for their families in as easy a way as possible while maintaining the necessary standards of trust and security. We are building an ever expanding network of retailers and partners so that members can continue to save more over time.
Say you spend £100 at M&S. You earn £4 in KidStart Savings, which we give to your kids.
KidStart is NOT your typical loyalty programme. There are no points, no membership cards, no hassle, no catches, no hidden charges - we promise. Just cash, for kids, for free - its simple.
How does KidStart make money?
KidStart receives slightly more from retailers than the rate advertised to members. This allows us to cover the costs of operating the service, charges we incur for making payments to member's nominated accounts and so on. There are no charges for members - your children receive all the KidStart Savings you have earned.
KidStart and the Financial Services Authority
KidStart is proud to be authorised and regulated by the FSA for arranging and making arrangements in regulated investments. The FSA does not regulate all of our activities but we ensure that we comply with or exceed all of the FSA's requirements.
Why do people join KidStart?
Members join KidStart because they are getting something for their kids for nothing. Joining is easy - we do not require a lot of information, and then we automatically take care of everything else: tracking your transactions, collecting KidStart Savings and paying it into your child's nominated account.
Is KidStart safe and secure?
Security of your personal data and your KidStart Savings is of paramount importance to us. Our Privacy and Security Policy is visible here, but we operate a multi-tier security approach to safeguard your data in a secure and reliable manner. Cash due to be paid to members is kept in a separate secure account.
Who owns KidStart?
KidStart is primarily owned by employees of KidStart most of whom are parents of young children themselves (none are yet grandparents!). KidStart is also backed by leading venture capital firm, Delta Partners. The KidStart website was built in the UK by Igentics
