If you’ve booked your baby’s first holiday this year we’ve got you covered with a list of must-haves to pack. Plus you can earn KidStart Savings on all of these purchases to help boost their savings as you shop.
Swimwear and clothing
Many retailers sell sun protection swimsuits which are great for your little one to splash around the pool or sea in, remember arm bands or another type of floaty too! We also recommend plenty of changes of clothing, including some for the journey and a hat and sunglasses too.
Sun protection and aftersun
This is obvious but an important one. The prices of suncream can vary so we recommend shopping around before you go to find the best deal. Many skincare and suncream brands offer sensitive/child-friendly SPF50 creams for your little one.
Plenty of nappies and wipes
Pack plenty of nappies and wipes in your luggage and travel bag for your baby’s first holiday, just in case you’re not near a supermarket or can’t find a brand you like where you’re going on holiday.
First aid kit
Put together a little first aid kit including infant medication, plasters, bandages, antiseptic wipes, bug spray, thermometer and tweezers. Some retailers sell child-friendly kits if you’d prefer to buy one ready made too.
Toys and books
These are essentials to help keep your little one occupied when travelling and whilst you’re away. We found lots of travel friendly toys that were lightweight and folded away to make them easier to pack.
Travel stroller and carrier
If you don’t have a stroller that is small and easy to transport then it may be worth investing in one that will be simple to use for the flight and whilst you’re away. A carrier may come in handy too whilst you’re on the move, especially if you’re exploring old towns with cobbled streets!
Feeding equipment
This will depend on where you are on your feeding journey. You may need a travel friendly pump, formula and sterilisation tablets for bottles or if your little one is on solids then their bowls, plates and cutlery.
