Fabulous gift ideas for mums

So the Elf (aka, me) has been working extra hard coming up with some great gift ideas for you this Christmas. Here's my top 5:

Elemis Eau de Parfum Exotic (£35, available from timetospa). Most mums I know, including myself (hint, hint) appreciate a bottle of perfume at Christmas and this is gorgeous. It has notes of Jasmine and Ylang Ylang, cedarwood and Sandalwood and spicy pink pepper and cinnamon bark, making it perfect for this time of year. Delicious.

Bon Jovi’s Greatest Hits (£8.99, available from play.com). This is a fantastic album and includes all the songs we know and love and like to sing along to at the tops of our voices, including Wanted Dead or Alive and Livin’ On A Prayer, plus two new tracks. Outstanding.

This Jingle Belle cosmetics set from Green People (£54) is just lovely – it’s packed with organic mineral make-up essentials, including volumising mascara in black, eco eye trio in Smokey Grey, Eco Lipstick in Cherry and Eco Lipstick in Candyfloss, and it’s beautifully wrapped.

Messy Little Raindrops (£8.99, available from play.com) is Cheryl Cole’s new album and it’s really excellent, proving there’s so much more to our Cheryl than a gorgeous face and fabulous style. Favourite tracks so far are definitely Promise This and The Flood.

And XFactor fans will certainly appreciate the Gear 4 Party box (£49.99, available from Argos) – this is my new favourite thing. Basically it turns your computer into a karaoke machine. It comes with a microphone and includes one month’s free access to thousands of songs. Thousands. Maybe warn the neighbours if you’re planning to warble for a long time, however *ahem*.  What are you asking Santa for this year – or do you prefer a surprise?
