Fashion sense for kids

When you're a mum you get used to buying more clothes for your kids than you do for yourself. Of course if you're really thrifty, there are certain things you can do to make their clothes last longer – my friend Sally bleaches stains out of school shirts, for example, and hand me downs can be cool (and green).

But sooner or later, you have to accept that certain items have to be replaced because they're too small/too worn/too babyish. And in our case, right now that's shorts and jeans.

Fortunately, Debenhams have a fantastic range of Kidswear available at the moment, including this Red Herring checked shirt (from £9), Red Herring tee, waistcoat and scarf set (from £20), and adorable Butterfly by Matthew Williamson dress (from £15). And if you're a member of KidStart, not only will you get money back every time you shop at Debenhams, but you'll also get an extra 10% of Kidswear from today until June 15, in addition to the regular savings.

If you're not a member of KidStart and want to take advantage of this brilliant offer click here to join (it's free). Enjoy!
