Help me choose a dress!

I’m looking for an outfit for a special event at the moment – the kind of do where the men have to wear lounge suits. Fortunately the Laura Ashley sale is still on, and there are some fantastic bargains both in homes and fashion. Yay!

Here are two of my favourite dresses – they're simple and classic, they're well structured and beautifully made, and I know they'd be perfect for any occasion. But I can't decide. Which one do you like best?
