OK, I know VAT has gone up, rail fares have gone up, it’s January and many of us are going back to work today. But I’m a firm believer that just a few little luxuries can go a long way to improving your outlook. So here are some of my favourite lovely things right now.
Gorgeous oversized Breakfast Crush Mug (£4) from Cath Kidston, just the thing for cheering you up in the mornings.
| One of my favourite Christmas gifts was a hamper of deliciously scented products from heavenly L'Occitane (brownie points for Man of the House). I definitely recommend the Citrus verbena shower gel (£12), which contains invigorating lemon oil from Sicily and smells like summer.|
Born Lippy Watermelon Lip Balm (£2) from the The Body Shop – divine, bargain price and works a treat.
| A fabulous book – I’m currently reading The Book of Tomorrow by the brilliant Cecelia Ahern (£5.19, available from Waterstones).
What are your January comfort treats? I’d love to know.
