Our Trick or Treat night flight

Last night we went on a Trick or Treat flight on the London Eye.

As you know I'm not very good with heights, especially when I'm in a glass closed-in space and it's dark outside. But actually the wheel moves so slowly you hardly notice you're in a 'pod' (unless you look down at the River Thames below, of course).

And seeing London from a bird's eye view – St Paul's, the Houses of Parliament, Piccadilly, all illuminated against the night sky, is definitely worth it. It gives you a totally new perspective on the capital, and I'm very glad we did it. Even though I did feel as though I was going round for the rest of the night.

Because it was a special Halloween flight, there were some excellent entertainers on board, and the kids were all given bags of sweets and scary masks, and the chance to compete for sugar mice in a 'landmark' quiz. Unfortunately the adults weren't allowed to win the sugar mice (booo!). But we were given a chocolate ghost at the end.
