Stokke Tripp Trapp Highchair

"I'd seen these highchairs in fancy cafes and restaurants, and had always admired their trendy, contemporary look.

Because they're made entirely from wood I'd always thought they looked a bit uncomfortable, but my 11-month-old daughter immediately preferred it to her regular padded plastic one. She would always get a bit frustrated with the slightly reclined backrest of her old highchair, but the clever ergonomic design of the Tripp Trapp, and its adjustable seat and footrest, enouraged her to sit up really straight, which she loved.

It was much easier to feed her, and so quick to wipe down afterwards. The slim design meant it didn't take up nearly as much floor space. Best of all it could be pushed up really close to the table, so we could all eat and interact together, rather than my daughter being stuck off to one side. I also loved the way the chair grows with the child – it can even be converted into an adult's seat – so you more than get your money's worth over the years. I just wish I'd bought this one first!"
