Street of shame

They've been making a TV advert in our road for the past few days, which has all been very exciting – there's a big camera crew, lots of Hollywood-style lights and actors dressed up in vintage clothes (the houses along here date from the Twenties).

Which I completely forgot, of course, when I had a bath this morning and then wandered into the blindless spare room in my next to nothings. Oh the shame!

Fortunately I don't think they saw much… and it wasn't my most embarrassing moment (I'll tell you about that another time – and I'd love to hear about yours.)

It reminded me though that I do need a new dressing-gown. Fortunately Debenhams have up to 25% off at the moment in their New Season Spectacular (but hurry, it ends tomorrow). And Laura Ashley have some amazing bargains at the moment too on homes and fashion – plus if you shop through KidStart  you get 4% back for your kids, and you could win a £200 gift card!

In fact, I think I'll have a look at Laura Ashley's blinds right now…

Have a great weekend!

They film a lot in our little town. Always very exciting (and lucrative if your house is used). I need a new dressign gown, thanks.

I could do with a dressing-gown, too. I still wear the one I bought my husband about four Christmases ago following his similarly embarrassing moment. He was in the bathroom when I opened the curtains to the full width bay window in our ground floor flat – I wasn’t to know he’d come looking for his pants minus a towel to hide his blushes! Poor old Mrs Stewart – who happened to be passing to catch the early bus – has never been able to look him in the eye since!
