OK I know that dieting is really the last thing any of us are thinking about this week, but at the back of my mind is the increasingly loud nagging voice that I really need to start as I mean to go on in the New Year.

As the former Editor of a health and beauty mag and also a lifestyle journalist I know full well that one of the best ways to motivate yourself is to diet with others, share tips and support.

So I thought if we form a virtual diet club, where we all support each other, it might help.

It doesn't matter what diet you're on, the point is to encourage each other to keep going, to share our successes and wobbles (I mean emotional wobbles. You don't have to share the other kind, unless you want to). I'll get expert tips and share those with you too.

So if you want to join, leave your blog name below (or you can email me at editor@kidstart.co.uk) and I'll do a roll call the week after next.

    Hubby lost 4 stone running year before last and is now running 6 or 7 half marathons to culminate with the swedish marathon in May this year. He did cut out drinking and is sensible but still has a chocolate session every now and again! So with small people at school and nursery from Jan I intend to allocate time for me to excercise and get back to somewhere near the level of fitness I was at pre-babies! Would be great t o share it with folk! Xx

    Hey there. Have been sticking to my general ‘don’t eat sop much, get off your butt’ tactics, lost 2 stone over the past 4 months … have stopped losing much now, need to work harder.
